Christmas list notes dangerous toys

The Colorado Public Interest Research Group has created a mobile-phone Web site that offers information about hazardous toys.

The site, www.toysafety.mobi is available on Internet-enabled cell phones.

Tomorrow, the group will release a full hazardous-toy report, “Trouble in Toyland.”

“We cover toys with lead hazards, chemical hazards, choking hazards and ones that are too loud,” said Huddie Khalsa, community outreach director for the nonprofit organization.

A report launch and media invitiation, at which dangerous toys will be displayed, is open to the public, and will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Memorial Hospital Central in the east tower lobby.

The report will be available tomorrow at www.copirg.org.
