Local companies win federal contracts

Colorado Springs firms continue to attract government contracts funded by the Department of Defense and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

  • Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. of Colorado Springs has won a $38.4 million federal contract from the U.S. Air Force Space Command, El Segundo, Calif., for a launch and test range system engineering and integration contract.
  • Rocky Mountain Materials & Asphalt has won three contracts for work at Fort Carson under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The first for $420,533 will cover the repair of an intersection at Nelson Boulevard and Specker Avenue. The second for $289,745 will cover work at the intersection of Ellis Street and Specker Avenue. The third contract awarded for $96,503 will cover a new parking lot adjacent to Building 2350.
  • Mass Service & Supply of Pueblo won a $3,188 contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for renovation of the Peterson Air Force Base Education Center’s classrooms and restrooms.
  • TDF Construction Co. joint venture secured a $1.1 million contract from Fort Carson for the repair and improvement of the Gate 3 canopy and expansion of the queuing area.
