Robert Bode has been named director of the Office of Financial Aid, Student Employment and Scholarships at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He previously was financial aid director for Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minn.

Robert B. Hancock has earned the Certified Fraud Examiner credential. He is tax manager of The Shafer Group.

Jim Miller has been named deputy commissioner of the Colorado Department of Agriculture. He has worked for the CDA for more than 20 years and has served in several positions, including public information specialist and director of policy and initiatives.

Chris Valentine has joined Penrose-St. Francis Health Services as public information officer.

Kitty Clemens has joined the Denver Regional Council of Governments as a division director. She previously was director of the Manitou Springs Economic Development Council.

Craig Mackey has been named director of government affairs for the Outdoor Industry Association. He has experience running political campaigns and served as deputy political director for former Gov. Roy Romer.

Brandon Smith has earned the Certified Residential Specialists designation from the Council of Residential Specialists. He is a broker associate with The Platinum Group, Realtors.

Cory Wall has received the 2009 Bullfighter of the Year award from the ProRodeo Cowboys Association. He lives in Calhan and is a 19-year veteran of professional rodeo.

Joanna Lee has joined the audit team of SSA P.C. She attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
