Ritter won’t seek re-election 
Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter announced today that he won't run for re-election this fall.
In a press conference at the capitol, Ritter said he intends to spend more time with his family.
Considered a rising star in the Democratic Party, the first-term Democrat was elected during 2006 in a pivotal swing-voting state.
