AG will testify at financial inquiry commission

On Jan. 14, Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will testify before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.

Suthers and other legal and financial experts will discuss the federal government’s economic recovery efforts and the fraud that contributed to the national financial crisis. Suthers will testify about state enforcement efforts in response to the crisis.

The hearing, at Longworth House Office Building,  is open to the public and will be broadcast on C-Span.

Commissioner of the Texas State Securities Board Denise Voigt Crawford, Miami-Dade Police Department Chief Counsel Glenn Theobald and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan will also testify.

The bipartisan, 10-member panel of the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission was created by Congress as part of the Fraud Enforcement Recovery Act of 2009.
