Hickenlooper to run for governor

The Denver Post is reporting that Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper will run for governor.

He may make a formal announcement as early as this afternoon.

Since Gov. Bill Ritter announced last week that he would not run for re-election, Hickenlooper has been meeting with advisers. And last Friday, President Barack Obama called Hickenlooper and urged him to run for governor.

  1. If Obama supports him, I don’t.

  2. Sure appreciate the endorsement of Obama, made my decision easier. Will not be voting for him.

I don’t even know the guy, but Denver has been hurting for many years in it’s economy and this guy hasn’t helped promote the great city of Denver. What makes him “qualified”, probably running on the same ticket as President Obama….”Change”…..mmmhmm.

  3. I guess Ritter will do his final thing before he leaves like maybe taxing car miles which the democrat strategy is to postpone it after the 2010 elections. Right after the calm comes the storm taxing the people 24/7 until oblivion while government gets bigger and bigger. Instead lof ooking at us as people we get seen as Units of production to the State or working ants for taxation. Our wealth is being transferred to the bureacratic public officials in DC and around the globe while the people lose jobs and made into slaves. No more for we are taxed enough already!
