The Denver office of the U.S. Export Assistance Center is picking up where the city of Colorado Springs left off — continuing monthly international meetings to assist businesses who want to export goods overseas.
The city stopped paying for the Office of International Business last year, in an effort to cut costs.
The Denver center is continuing the monthy international meetings in Colorado Springs starting Feb. 10. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center.
Paul Bergman, director of the center in Denver, said he will discuss continuing the meetings and support for it.
The Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce is considering hiring a person to take over the office, since George Boutin retired.
For more information about the meeting, call Bergman at (303) 844-6001.
I hope there’s an email list for announcing upcoming meetings. I want to be on it . . .
