Springs chamber jumps to Tier 1

During a down economy, The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce grew membership, strengthened its financial position – and achieved Tier 1 chamber status with The American Chamber of Commerce Executives Association.

This ranking puts the Colorado Springs regional chamber among the top 75 chambers in the nation, along with much larger cities, such as Houston, Toronto, Washington D.C., Chicago and Los Angeles.

The ranking allows the Colorado Springs chamber to participate in an ACCE Metro/Major Cities Council trip to Dubai during March as part of a trade mission. Chamber CEO and President David Csintyan will represent the Pikes Peak region and the chamber’s new International Development Office during the trip next month. Csintyan said the recognition brings Colorado Springs to the table with the largest cities and chambers in the United States.

Ranking criteria included metropolitan statistical area population of more than 500,000, and revenue of more than $2 million.
