I agree that shelters are temporary and you have to fight to get in. Reminds me of the movie The Pursuit of Happiness, with Will Smith as a father struggling to keep he and his son safe.
These people could be anyone, our next door neighbors at one time or friends. Yet all we can do is complain of the unsightly “Tent City”.
I think it would be a great idea to give them an area that would be safe for them as well as anyone who feels unsafe. How about one of the parks that won’t be getting watered this year.
