AG lists top consumer complaints

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers has listed the top consumer complaints for 2009.

During the 2009 calendar year, Colorado consumers filed 1,984 complaints with the Office of the Attorney General.

The top 10 categories of complaints received last year were:

During the first two months of 2010, Colorado consumers filed 604 complaints with the attorney general, on pace for 3,600 for the year.

If this pace continues, it will be an 80 percent increase from the previous year.

As in 2009, the National Energy Rebate Fund attracted the most complaints, logging 130 in two months, compared to 627 during 2009.
