Unemployment rate edges up to 7.4 percent 
Colorado's unemployment rate is up one-tenth of a percentage point to 7.4 percent.
The state Department of Labor and Employment released seasonally adjusted figures for January on Wednesday.
Donald Mares, director of the department, says Colorado's unemployment rate may be volatile throughout 2010 but he expects it to improve.
