The latest group of Daniels Fund scholarship recipients includes 182 students from Colorado.
More than 260 high school seniors – including 39 from New Mexico, 16 from Utah, and 24 from Wyoming – were also awarded scholarships.
The Daniels Fund partners with high schools, youth serving agencies and college prep providers who nominate candidates for the Daniels Scholarship. The Daniels Fund was started 10 years ago.
During that time, the fund has awarded more than 2,000 scholarships with a value of $66 million, as well as more than $270 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.
A prominent business leader, Bill Daniels established the Daniels Fund to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. When he died in 2000, his estate transferred to the fund, making it one of the largest foundations in the Rocky Mountain West.
