Chamber’s seminar will be a ‘gateway’ to government contracting

The Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “2010 Small Business Outreach Event” from 7 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, at the Antlers Hilton Hotel, 4 S. Cascade Ave.

The seminar and fair is a “gateway to government contracting,” and numerous government agencies will be on hand with displays to answer questions.

All of the local military and Air Force bases will be represented, as well as the Bureau of Land Management, Dept. of the Interior, Veterans Administration, Small Business Administration, Army National Guard and Fort Carson’s Mission and Installation Contracting Command.

Keynote speaker will be Scott Denniston of the National Veteran Owned Business Association.

An optional lecture, “Acquisition Opportunities Briefs” and agency overviews will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 26.

Registration is $175.
