Allstate Insurance Corp. plans to recruit 51 agency owners in Colorado this year.
Northbrook, Ill.-based Allstate said it added 30 agents in Colorado last year and seeks to expand its agency network here further.
“We see a significant opportunity in the current economy to attract mid-career, mid-level managers to own and operate their own business and represent Allstate in Colorado,” Perry Nassif, Allstate’s Colorado recruiting director, said in a statement. “We’re working with business brokers and through our own recruiters to find professionals with financial or sales backgrounds, who are dedicated to customer service.”
Allstate said agent candidates need a minimum of $50,000 to invest in an agency.
The company said it currently has 258,092 cars and trucks insured in the state.
