Greccio Housing, a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing for low-income or at-risk families and individuals, received a $30,000 grant from the El Pomar Foundation this week.
The grant will be paid over a two year period.
Greccio owns or manages 351 apartment units on 17 properties.
The nonprofit organization has doubled in size over the past two years to meet the rapidly growing need for affordable housing in Colorado Springs. It also provides programs designed to help its residents to help become self-sufficient and lead successful lives.
