NO GUN zones are actually 'victim zones' telling the criminals and lunatics where to go to kill people without any resistance. I'm glad to see that CSU will now recognize 2nd Amendment Rights and obey Colorado State law.

As to drunk students on campus... Check the FBI statistics. Those with conceal carry permits are TEN times LESS likely to commit a crime than the average person on the street who does not have a conceal carry permit. The reason is .... those with conceal carry permits hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior....when they carry... Its a fact, check the state and FBI statistics.

The homicide rates of murders in Washington DC "should" resolve any concern about permitting guns on campus. In DC, the murder rate is one of the highest in the country and has the lowest of solved murders in the country (less than 6% of murders solved, therefore, murderers know they will not get caught). Texas on the other hand (a state where MANY carry guns) is one of the lowest. You simply detour crimes, because you "never know who's carrying". Keeps crimes low.

Even with the college, I think in NC that was shot up a while back, could have prevented many more murders if other students/faculty/security were allowed to carry guns. Look right here in Colorado Springs, the shooting at New Life Church could have been MUCH worse, had there not been armed folks there.

Suggested GOOD reading material with great facts and stats (verified) read the book
"Arguing with Idiots", Chapter 2 deals with our second ammendment right- I'm not saying any readers are idiots (some are), but what I AM saying, is get the facts to make intelligent decisions. Know the pro's and the con's. Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

This is a GOOD decision by the Board of Governors, even though they saw no choice.

Is no one else worried about college students, getting drunk, acting stupid and having a firearm on them already. I understand the need for self defense and I am not in favor in doing away with the 2nd amendment. However, there is a time and place to have a concealed weapon. Math class is not one of them..
