Deloitte LLP has become the presenting sponsor of the U.S. Paralympic initiatives and community programs that serve injured military personnel and veterans.
Deloitte will also assist with implementation of an annual conference that focuses on leadership and the expansion of paralympic programming nationally. The company also is the presenting sponsor of the Warrior Games, a key event for wounded veterans.
The programs are under the umbrella of the United States Olympic Committee.
Deloitte is a sponsor of the 2010 and 2012 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic team, as well as the 2011 U.S. Pan American Team.
The paralympic military program provides post-rehabilitation support and mentoring to military veterans who’ve sustained physical injuries. Both active duty soldiers and veterans are introduced to the paralympic sport at the community level. Deloitte is responsible for helping pay for the Warrior Games, which feature 200 wounded, ill and injured servicemen and women from the Armed Forces. It is scheduled for May 10-14 in Colorado Springs.
The 2010 Developing Amazing Leaders Paralympic Conference is a three-day event that provides leadership development and educational training to more than 300 people every year. The conference is held every year in Colorado Springs.
