CDOT has no money and will not complete anything south of Denver for a long time. This is called SELF HELP and I’m glad this council finally did something a little outside the box. By doing Powers ourselves, the widening of I-25 might become a higher priority. Ken, I think we just woke up. The state money is gone.

Build a flyover from the current 83/Powers interchange and connect into Interquest. Another interchange means more congestion on a part of I25 that is still 2 lanes. I’d rather see CDOT complete the three lane expansion from N. Academy to Monument exit BEFORE any interchange is added.

Come on El Paso County, wake up.
