Colorado Springs’ American Airlines employees won one of five national awards for customer service on May 12.
For the first quarter of the year, American’s local employees took the Customer Cup award, a trophy which has the station’s name engraved on it.
The award is based on the largest improvements in customer-service performance, including how well the airline delivers customers bags and handles delays.
Customer Cups are categorized and awarded by market size and according to flight activity. Metrics for performance include serving customers at the airport and onboard the aircraft.
“Customers flying on American out of Colorado Springs have a hassle free experience,” said Lothar von Wolfseck, American’s local general manager.
