I have been trying to get the media to warn the public about this on here and the Gazette. This commission has one goal the sale of memorial. what the sale will do goes far beyond even the depth of the artical. This would be a huge blow to our community that i dont think we would recover from. wake up people!

Iwhole-heartedly agree with the above for all their reasons. As a patient, I have probably spent more than my time at different locations of Memorial Main. The whole system is educated to keep the patient informed and to get each one well as soon as possible. I must say that this doesn't happen in all wards and not 100% of the time. But I would give it between 90-95%. I have even spent a few days in Memorial North. I'm sure when the hospital started out , it needed some money from the taxpayers, but it probably has been a long time see they were on the expense side of the city's budget.
I have never spent any time in Penrose and I hope I don't have to. I have lived in the Springs for almost 40 years and will probably spend more time in a hospital, and I hope it will continue to be the community-owned Memorial Hospital System.

During the last year I ended up at Memorial Hospital and was found that I had cancer. During my stays in the hospital, doctors excelent care, radiation, and chemo therapy I found that my care was outstanding. With their help my cancer is in remission and I keep getting stronger.
If the hospital is sold will that care and attitude be the same? I do not think so.
