Grab The Torch, a Boston-based nonprofit organization, has selected Colorado Springs for the first of three philanthropy camps June 27 – July 3 at the Fountain Valley School.
The program is open to all students from public, charter and independent schools. Students must be between 16 (by June 26) and 20.
The program is designed to help the next generation “embrace their roles as stewards of the global greater good,” according to the group’s website.
Students will hear from leading experts in foundations, non-profits, cause-related marketing, environmental, governance, education, oversight and leadership.
While the program is based in Colorado Springs, students will also spend a day at the group’s Mt. Princeton campus. Representatives from the El Pomar Foundation and the Board Source will both present at Mt. Princeton.
Applications and a camp video is available at www.grabthetorch.org.
