Six nonprofits receive $48,000 in grants

Six local nonprofit organizations have received grants totaling $48,000 from the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation.

The nonprofits receiving grants are TLC Pharmacy, Peak Vista Community Health Centers, Harbor House Collaborative, Safe Passage, Colorado Mission of Mercy and C.S. Therapeutic Riding Center.

Grants from the Osteopathic Foundation go to health-related nonprofit organizations that serve El Paso and Teller counties.

The foundation seeks to fund programs or operations that fall within its mission of improving the health and well-being of the community. This includes programs that enhance access to health care services for the underserved, as well as improving access to programs which promote physical, emotional and behavioral health of the underserved.

The next grant proposal deadline is August 2.
