The free immunization clinic at The Citadel will run its last day Saturday.
Adults can receive H1N1, shingles and pneumonia vaccinations from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
But after that, The Citadel’s shot clinic will be closed. For other information about vaccinations, call 211, the community information line.
The clinics were part of a collaboration with Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment and the Visiting Nurses Association.
The clinic at The Citadel began offering swine flu shots in mid-December. It re-opened in April to provide additional vaccines. Since then, more than 400 shingles vaccinations have been provided.
Shots are available free of charge as long as supplies last. Registered nurses will make assessments before the immunizations, using vaccine recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The adult vaccines are specifically for uninsured or under-insured people.
