The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is visiting Fort Carson to meet with soldiers, including some recovering from combat injuries.

Adm. Mike Mullen is scheduled to hold a question-and-answer session with soldiers at the post’s McMahon Theater today.

He also plans to meet with soldiers from the Warrior Transition Unit, which works with injured soldiers headed back to active duty or civilian life, and to visit the Soldier Family Assistance Center.

Mullen has made two previous visits to Colorado this year, giving the commencement address at the Air Force Academy in May and holding a question-and-answer session with members of a Colorado Air National Guard F-16 squadron at Buckley Air Force Base.
