Barbara Jeanne Krekeler co-founder of SET Family Medical Clinics, a nonprofit organization that provides basic medical services to low-income people, has received the Joe Henjum Legacy Award. Henjum started the Senior Resource Council which has served the senior community of Colorado Springs for more than 22 years.

Janelle Grau has been promoted to finance supervisor for Ent Federal Credit Union. Grau has been with Ent for 10 years and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Fort Hays State University.

Holly Scott has been promoted to finance analyst for Ent Federal Credit Union. She has been with Ent for 18 years has a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from UCCS.

Ed Sauer, president and CEO of The Bank at Broadmoor, will serve a second term as chairman of the Colorado Bankers Association.  As chairman, he is responsible for presiding over the association’s board of directors’ meetings and assisting policy creation.

Retired Air Force Col. Bill Hughes, most recently chief of the Deterrence and Strike division at Peterson Air Force Base, has joined Dynetics in Colorado Springs. He’ll lead the company’s relations with the Department of Defense cyber and space markets in the western region.

Rich Strycker announced he will retire Nov. 30 after serving as executive director of Greccio Housing the past seven years. Greccio Housing is a nonprofit that serves low income families in the Pikes Peak region since 1990.

Jessica Kouri, a financial specialist for U.S. Bank, has won U.S. Bank’s annual Presidents award, the company’s highest consumer banking employee achievement honors. She was among a select number of top performing employees nationwide to win U.S. Bank’s award and was recently recognized at a company dinner.

Lisa Abuso has been promoted to director of admissions for Colorado Technical University. Lisa has been with Colorado Technical University for three years and will now lead all admissions efforts for graduate and undergraduate programs.

Joe Hodas, Executive Vice President Brand Communications for Vladimir Jones, has been named a partner for the agency. Hodas, who joined the agency in early 2009, has been instrumental in advancing the agency’s integrated approach to brand communications, strategically incorporating emerging trends to address client goals.

Jon Bross has been named media director for Vladimir Jones.  He is leading media services team in integrating media and brand communications mechanisms to create digitally focused solutions for agency clients. He also plays in the popular local band Grass It Up.
