Opponents of 60, 61, 101 raise more than $4 million

A coalition formed to fight three tax-limit initiatives on Colorado’s November ballot has raised more than $4 million.

Coloradans for Responsible Reform plans to spend most of it on television ads that will run after Labor Day.

The campaign manager is Rick Reiter, who led the campaign to pass Referendum C in 2005.

The measures are Proposition 101, which reduces automobile and telecommunications taxes, Amendment 60, which cancels voter authorized tax-limit overrides, and Amendment 61, which limits municipal borrowing and bars state debt.

Reiter says they will lead to a “voter approved recession.”

Proposal backers say opponents are businesses and groups that benefit from government spending. They’ve raised a little over $12,000.

   I really hope that these fail to pass. If anyone actually takes the time to learn the impact of 60,61 and 101, you will see how dangerous it really is.

   I hope these pass. we do not trust government anymore wtih our money. they treat the taxpayer as an enemy.
