Pikes Peak Behavioral Health Group, the second-largest, nonprofit in the city with 500 employees and 30,000 clients, is no more.
Instead, the organization – and its many related groups – will now be called AspenPointe.
It’s one of many initiatives started by the group more than two years ago in an attempt to define and consolidate services.
“Not only were our clients confused, but a lot of internal staff didn’t know everything we offered,” said Kevin spokesman Porter.
“Sometimes, a client would touch one part of our organization and we could have helped him in other places,” said Joe Micahels, vice president of marketing and communications. “We believe these changes will allow better access.”
In addition to becoming AspenPointe, the group consolidated more than 70 phone numbers into a single call center, and more than eight websites into a single Internet location.
AspenPointe spent $35,000 for a consultant who helped with the name change process. The Web initiative cost about $60,000, while the call center integration was $150,000.
AspenPointe is in the process of moving to electronic health records, as part of their branding initiative.
