StealthCom Solutions, a Colorado Springs defense contractor, landed a No. 387 on this year’s “Inc. 500” list of the nation’s fastest growing companies.
The magazine released its 2010 “Top” list Tuesday. Fourteen other Colorado firms made the list – most of those are located in the Denver-Boulder area.
Inc. magazine’s annual ranking is based on revenue growth from 2006 through 2009. Stealthcom’s annual revenue in 2009 was $2.1 million, but its rate of revenue growth in 2006-09 was 778 percent.
This was the first time since 2008 that a Colorado Springs firm made the list. The fastest-growing U.S. company on the 2010 list is Ambit Energy of Dallas, with a 20,369 percent growth rate, from $1.6 million in 2006 to $325 million in 2009.
The fastest growing company in Colorado was Ayuda Management of Broomfield, a general contractor that grew its business 7,443 percent since 2006. Its 2009 revenue was $20.7 million.
Stealthcom Solutions CEO Jason Aguilar said making the Inc. 500 list has been a personal goal.
“I wanted to accomplish this before I was 30 … I’ve got two months left,” he said.
