This is called “rolling out the red carpet” so that these consultants want to work hard and bring in the businesses that create jobs. Jobs that will employ locals!

We have a beautiful city with great substance and style. You don’t take the consultant to a chain restaurant.

Perkins? Really? Other cities and regions will be courting the same ‘consultants’ and I doubt they’ll be going to a Perkins.

The fact that most of our citizens don’t belong to country clubs is moot. These consultants are accustomed to being wined and dined and shown the very best a community has to offer. But that the very best can only be found at a country club is disputable, as there are wonderful restaurants and meeting places all over our region. And, I agree with your ‘shop local’ assertion.

Little wonder they do such a lousy job attracting jobs here ………. they are woefully out of touch! Can’t wait to audit these folks!!
