Government lawyers are continuing to push for a tax-cutting activist from Colorado Springs to give information about his role in three ballot measures before voters this fall.

The contempt-of-court hearing against Douglas Bruce continues in Denver Friday. Bruce is the father of Colorado’s Taxpayer’s Bill Of Rights, and the government says Bruce has been dodging subpoenas to talk about his possible role in three more tax measures on ballots this year.

Bruce says he was never properly served a subpoena for the proceeding in question. The contempt hearing wraps up next week.
