Loren Shanks has been promoted to the position of associate principal for Drexel Barrell and Co., an engineering firm. He joined the firm in 1989 and became a member of the ownership group in 2004. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of Senior Associate and has more than 25 years’ experience in his field.

Chris Carrella has been appointed to the position of director of technology for distribution marketing and sales for Leviton, a lighting company.

Ellen Fisher has been promoted to the position of senior audit manager for Stockman Kast Ryan + Co.

Lynleigh Bernheim has joined Pressed4Time Mobile Dry Cleaning as customer service manager for northwest Colorado Springs.

Moyra Hower is the new Southern Colorado director of March of Dimes. She will be responsible for raising awareness of maternal-fetal health issues and annual events such as March for Babies, Signature Chefs Auction and Jail and Bail.

Tom Dameron has been appointed as president and general manager of the mountain states region for CIGNA HealthCare. He most recently worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, where he was responsible for sales and account management of a 1.2 million customer health plan.

Stacie Gray has joined Griffis/Blessing Inc. as a commercial portfolio assistant. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs cum laude in 2008 with a bachelor of science degree.

Andrew Simmons has been named assistant vice president for Alumni Engagement Programs at Regis University. He was previously assistant director of Admissions in the Regis College Office of Admissions.

Retired Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, former commander of NORAD/ USNORTHCOM, has been elected to the board of directors for the National Homeland Defense Foundation which is headquartered in Colorado Springs.

Doreen Merz has joined Stockman Kast Ryan + Co. as a tax manager.

John B. Kurish, D.O., was elected President of the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation at its annual board of directors meeting. He also was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine.

Steve Tooke has been promoted to the position of director of placement services for Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs. He also serves as manager of Goodwill Staffing, Goodwill’s temporary staffing agency. He recently celebrated his 20th anniversary with Goodwill.

Allison Swickard-Gorman has joined Pikes Peak Community College as executive director of marketing and communications. She will be responsible for overseeing the marketing, public relations, advertising and recruitment efforts on behalf of the college. She has nearly 15 years experience in the marketing and public relations industry and most recently worked as marketing director at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Sarah Swint has joined Metro Brokers Inc. She previously worked as the office manager for Swint Realty Company LLC with seven years experience in the property management industry.
