Ruling on Tancredo candidacy expected today

A Denver district judge is expected to rule today on the validity of Tom Tancredo’s inclusion as a gubernatorial candidate on the November ballot.

Judge William Hood listened to more than four hours of testimony yesterday about Tancredo’s switch from the Republican Party to an American Constitution Party candidate. He’ll decided today whether his candidacy should be invalid because the switch happened too late in the year.

The action to remove Tancredo was brought last week by two Colorado registered Republicans who support GOP gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes.
