Colo. governor’s race takes another hit

Filed under: Daily News | Tags:

Just when you thought the Colorado gubernatorial race couldn’t get any crazier, another candidate dispute has rocked the November ballot.

Victoria Adams has dropped out as the running mate for unaffiliated candidate Jason Clark, claiming Clark hates women and mistreated his campaign staff.

Clark says he dropped her from his campaign on Tuesday and will find a new running mate. He denies mistreating women and says the stress of the campaign was too much for Adams.

Rich Coolidge, spokesman for Secretary of State Bernie Buescher, says this has never happened before and the secretary is seeking legal advice to see if Clark’s votes will be counted. He said it’s a state requirement that a gubernatorial candidate have a running mate.

  1. I work with Jason R. Clark Candidate for Governor as a contract provider. I am also a woman who has over 30 years working in the professional world, who has observed thousands of interactions among professionals.

What is being described is more about differences in personality and communication styles rather than issues related to sex or gender or inability to get along with women.

I have been present at several other events where Jason has been present and have had the opportunity to observe Jason’s interactions with all people, all of which have been stellar.

Perhaps the media could focus on the positive characteristics of this very qualified candidate rather than this issue which has been greatly inflated.

  2. More and more people are coming out to support Victoria Adams claims that Jason Clark does not like working with women because he doesn’t get along with them very well. Additionally, Jason Clark has made very false and serious allegations that Victoria Adams has a DUI, which was also proven to be false. Sharon is either his mom or she is getting paid very well to praise a man who does not belong anywhere near a political office. I hope Victoria Adams sues Jason Clark for his unprofessional actions. Jason Clark should never work in this town again…or the state of Colorado for that matter.

  3. I read that Sharon who is also apart of the Jason Clark campaign had quit at one point because of Jason Clark’s inappropriate behavior. The e-mail from Sharon to Jason and his staff is very interesting because she states, “Jason should never contact her again.” I am sure Jason is paying this lady very well to keep her mouth shut and her opinions to herself!
