Bettina Swigger of the Cultural office of the Pikes Peak Region joined other civic, business and arts leaders at the Pioneers Museum today to release the region’s first-ever cultural plan.
A detailed, 22-page document, the plan establishes a roadmap to guide artists, arts advocates, arts-related nonprofits and the greater community for the next decade in efforts to strengthen the region’s position as an arts and cultural destination.
The plan, which is the product of a two-year volunteer effort, sets strategic priorities for the arts and creative sectors in El Paso and Teller counties. It was paid for by private sources.
The plan can be viewed online at www.coppercolo.org/culturalplan.
