The Memorial Commission is giving citizens another chance to weigh in about the future of the municpal hospital.
The commission is holing a public hearing from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Pikes Peak Regional Development Center, 2880 International Circle.
Analysis of the models of ownership and governance and the advantages or disadvantages of each will be the focus of the meeting.
Following the town hall, the commission will eliminate models that are not applicable to Memorial Health System. The commission will then focus the rest of the month on drafting a recommendation to city council.
The commission has been working all year to develop a recommendation for the future of the hospital system.
The commission is expected to deliver its recommendation to city council Nov. 22. Any changes for Memorial would appear on the April ballot.
