The Cheyenne Canon Inn, located near the entrance to North Cheyenne Canon Park and the Pike National Forest, is part of portfolio of nonperforming loans being auctioned online by New York-based Carlton Exchange, after its owners failed to keep up mortgage payments.
Co-owners Kevin Cook and Claudia Tutt have owned the historic bed and breakfast since 2007.
“It’s a very beautiful property, but business is seasonal and winters have been slow,” Tutt said.
The three-story, 8,120-square-foot mission-style boutique hotel was built in 1921 and renovated in 1993. It’s part of a $10 million portfolio that includes two other buildings.
