I’ve known Doug Price for 13+ years while I’ve worked in the tourism industry. I’ll tell Colorado Springs you have a great and respected tourism professional filling Terry’s shoes. Doug’s reach into the tourism industry will benefit the Springs more than you can begin to imagine. Good Luck to Doug and Colorado Springs.

As a person who met and interviewed Doug Price, even though I dodn’t have a vote – only a recommendation, he is the right person for the job. His experience in marketing for Marriott for a number of years and his current position as a member of the national tourism organization will allow him to apply his skills in what will work best to market Colorado Springs. Face it, the CVB is a marketing organization and it should be led by a person with great marketing experience and Doug has that: IN SPADES!

I agree, fresh eyes could be a good thing, but a tourist becoming the CEO of CVB….only worse selection would be Lionel Rivera.

The Colonel’s club is well and alive. This guy will want an executive staff and a BIG travel budget…..

What a load of malarkey! Could have been worse … might have been a retired military officer like those wunderkinds @ the EDC & The Chamber! Impressive results at those organizations with nothing to show but increased unemployment!
