Affiliated Computer Services is expanding its call center operations in Colorado Springs and will add 450 jobs, nearly doubling the company’s presence here.

Officials from ACS, a Xerox company, made the announcement today. The jobs will include technical support specialists and supervisors who will provide customer service to wireless providers.

Job applications are available online at or can be picked up at the company’s recruiting office, 2424 Garden of the Gods Road, Suite D-3.

ACS is also hosting an open house 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6 where job offers will be made on the spot to qualified candidates.

The news reinforces Colorado Springs status as a call-center epicenter.

Time Warner Cable, Hewlett Packard, T-Mobile and Oracle are just a few of the big names employing some 14,000 call center workers in the Pikes Peak region.

Earlier this month Georgia-based customer service provider Ryla announced plans to hire 500 people at a call center in Tiffany Square.

  1. It sounds like a Good Deal but be advised if you have to much experience or expect to actually make any money here don’t bother. apparently they are looking for people that don’t expect much or have little experience. I know someone who was doing the same job in a supervisor capacity, i saw this and called him them thinking this is right up there ally, years of experience, quality work never late, so I called them to let them know, I found out the had all ready applied and had too much experience … either that or they needed a shorter mini skirt.
