El Paso County home vacancy rates have dropped 5.8 percent from last quarter, according to the Colorado State Division of Housing.
This is the second straight quarterly drop and the lowest amount of vacancies since 2001.
According to real estate agent Joe Boylan, this rate is slightly above a “balanced market” rate of 5.0 percent.
The Division of Housing attributes the drop to incoming to incoming Fort Carson troops.
