Downtown retailers are working to boost revenue for the holiday season.

Retailers are hosting the first-ever Tejon Street Christmas Stroll from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, in downtown Colorado Springs.

Boutiques and restaurants will pair up for the event, serving their food at specific stores, said Denise Schall, program coordinator for the Downtown Partnership, which is helping to promote the event.

The streets will be decorated, of course, and live entertainment will be provided.

Each participating retailers will offer discounts and prizes.

People who register have the chance to win one of three grand prizes:

First prize: A ski package valued at more than $500, courtesy of Silverton Mountain Skiing and
Grand Imperial Hotel.

Second Prize: A $150 gift card, courtesy of Genesis MedSpa.

Third Prize: A $100 gift card that can be used at almost any shop downtown, courtesy of The
Downtown Partnership.
