Broadmoor earns five stars for 51st year

The Broadmoor hotel has set another record – earning five stars for 51 consecutive years.
Forbes Travel Guide Five Star Awards just released its list of Five Star winners for 2011.
Additionally, the resort is Colorado’s only triple Five Star winner this year. Both the Penrose Room restaurant and The Spa at Broadmoor earned five stars for their second consecutive year.
Since 1958, the Mobil Travel Guide’s ratings process has been based on more than 750 standardized criteria for hotels, making it the most rigorous and comprehensive in the industry.
The Penrose Room is Colorado’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five Star/AAA Five-Diamond Restaurant. Since 1961, Penrose Room has been one of the Rocky Mountain region’s top destinations for classic fine dining.
