Colorado’s agricultural exports rose $169 million or 27.7 percent during the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period in last year.
The total value of exports jumped to $778 million from $609.2 million in 2009. Each of the top agricultural sectors in the state reported an increase in the first three quarters of the year compared to 2009.
Nationwide, wheat exports rose 12 percent for the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009. While Colorado’s wheat export figures are reported annually, the numbers generally coincide with national trends.
