A Santa Barbara, Calif., based company is expanded its customer support services to Colorado Springs.
Granada Corp., a customer support service company focuses on clients that serve the Hispanic market.
The company is seeking bilingual claims customer service people for 20 positions and insurance telephone salespeople in the Springs. The employees will work from their houses.
Granada is holding a job fair Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center at 2306 Pikes Peak Ave.
“From the outset, we were attracted to Colorado Springs’ vibrant Hispanic-American population,” said Kit Cooper, CEO of the company that he started in 1999. “Research shows that the city is home to 50,000 Hispanic Americans.”
Citing the high education levels in Colorado Springs, Cooper said he believes there is a “significant demand” for customer service jobs.
The Colorado Springs Economic Development Corp welcomed the company to the city.
“Every new job in our community helps improve our economic landscape and improve some family’s quality of life,” said President and CEO Mike Kazmierski.
