Colorado’s population has grown by about 17 percent, according to Census data released today, which means the state will neither gain or lose a U.S. House or Representatives seat.

The Census data shows Colorado’s population grew to 5,029,196 in 2010. That’s a 16.9 percent increase from 2000 to 2010.

The state’s comaritively slow growth matches that seen in the rest of the nation.
