Colo. population grew 17 percent, U.S. Rep. seat neither gained nor lost

Colorado’s population has grown by about 17 percent, according to Census data released today, which means the state will neither gain or lose a U.S. House or Representatives seat.
The Census data shows Colorado’s population grew to 5,029,196 in 2010. That’s a 16.9 percent increase from 2000 to 2010.
The state’s comaritively slow growth matches that seen in the rest of the nation.
