Gov.-elect John Hickenlooper plans to lay out his goals and principles for the next four years during his inaugural on Tuesday and his state of the state speech on Thursday.
What he won’t do is announce any major new programs, because the state doesn’t have the money.
Hickenlooper says he plans to lay out a vision that will help the state navigate the current economic crisis.
The Democrat says the speeches are to establish him and his vision, but he says it should not be about him, it should be about the state.
He says the key emphasis this week will be about jobs and the economy.
