Lambert introduces Arizona-style immigration bill

Filed under: Daily News | Tags:, ,

Sen. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs, introduced an immigration bill yesterday that mimics Arizona enforcement measures.

Senate Bill 54 would authorize police to arrest people if officers had probable cause to believe those people are in the U.S. illegally.

It’s one of a number of bills expected to be introduced this session that deal with the sort of Arizona-style immigration enforcement measures that have proved controversial in that state.

One Response to Lambert introduces Arizona-style immigration bill

  1. Kudos to Senator Lambert! Illegal means “prohibited by law”. We need representatives to help enforce and respect our laws. Our citizens and LEGAL residents need the jobs to support their families that are now taken by those who are breaking our laws.
