I also would support banning the Wild Horse Race and Chuckwagon Racing (which I have seen at Cheyenne Frontier Days - not sure if done in Colorado).

All Rodeo events have risk for both the animals and human participants - but the humans have a choice.
I have seen a bucking horse break its back, and a heeling horse snap a hind leg - very infrequent occurrences.  I have seen calves necks broken (uncommon bu not rare). But injuries to both humans and animals in the Wild Horse Rance and Chuckwagon Rance events are far more likely and severe.

Horse tripping is very risky and cruel, as is steer tailing.  I have seen some Charro rodeos but never seen these two events live.  (By the way, the photo appears to be from calf-roping.)]]></description>
