Garden of the Gods’ Gourmet has added two partners and plans to expand.

Sandra Vanderstoep founded the cooking company in 2001, but Lynn Schlemeyer, CEO, and Mike Cookson, chief operating officer, recently bought out her financial interest in the company.

Vanderstoep will remain with the company as vice president of development.

Schlemeyer and Cookson each have more than 25 years of corporate executive level experience. On a day-to-day basis, Schlemeyer will work alongside Vanderstoep in running the business. Cookson will serve as a consultant on an as-needed basis.

Garden of the Gods, located at 2528 W. Cucharras offers catering, gourmet take-out, cooking classes and on-site dining.

After the success of its “Dinners with our Chef” program and cooking classes, the company plans to expand its current footprint and perhaps throughout the region, as well, Vanderstoep said.

Because the company already has a lot of clients in the 80919 Zipcode, she has her eye on the north part of town for expansion.

The company has 22 permanent employees and averages about 45 catering jobs per week.
