Colo. lawmakers debate illegal immigrant tuition

Filed under: Daily News | Tags:,

Democratic lawmakers are making another attempt to pass a bill that would grant in-state tuition to illegal immigrants in Colorado.

The proposal would allow illegal immigrants to receive in-state tuition if they meet certain criteria, such as attending a Colorado school for at least three years and graduating from a high school in the state.

California, Illinois, Kansas, New Mexico and New York are among the states that have approved legislation allowing illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition. Colorado lawmakers tried in 2009 to pass such a bill but it was killed in the Democratic-controlled Senate.

Supporters of the bill plan to talk about their efforts at the state Capitol Wednesday.

  1. What part of ILLEGAL do these yahoos not understand? If we can identify them as ILLEGAL or as I prefer to call them, CRIMINAL INVADERS, why the in H**L don’t they just turn them in and get them out of OUR country. They have already sucked us dry with their access for unpaid benefits and lower education, how much more are we to take?

And, as a small business owner don’t try to convince me that they have been paying taxes. They come into my business and always try to negotiate not paying taxes on their purchases. May be the only English they know, ‘NO TAXES’. And, they get upset that I won’t speak spanish at them. I know spanish but I am not about to make it any easier for them. Or, they want to work but want to be paid cash with no records.

I am fed up with these people invading our country, demanding services and the democrat yahoos in government trying to dream up more ways to give away or resources so they can raise our taxes which we can’t afford. I know, the democrats all think they will clone into good little democrats – I guess not being legal to vote is not a hindrance to the democrat way of thinking.
