Springs labor groups plan Wisconsin support rally today
Colorado Springs labor and political leaders are planning to rally at noon today at City Hall in support of Wisconsin government workers who are protesting a plan to reduce public unions’ collective bargaining rights.
Former state Rep. Mike Merrifield, a candidate for City Council is scheduled to speak at the rally.
Labor organizers fear that if the Wisconsin plan is approved, other states will follow suit.
